La plate-forme de thèses et mémoires se compose de deux serveurs.
Le premier héberge ORI-OAI, le second héberge les documents ainsi que l'outil de dépôt des thèses, mémoires et autres, par les étudiants.
Tout d'abord, l'étudiant dépose ses fichiers (documents administratifs, métadonnées et texte de sa thèse ou de son mémoire) via une interface web qui repose sur l'application Bigfilesharing développée par l'Université de Grenoble 1 (https://www.projet-plume.org/fiche/bigfilesharing).
Ses fichiers sont directement accessibles aux gestionnaires de la Direction de la Recherche et du SCD via un simple partage réseau windows. Ceux-ci peuvent vérifier la conformité des documents et les classer en fonction de leur mode de diffusion et de leur école doctorale.
L'arborescence pour chaque type de document est la suivante, en résumé :

version d'archivage (version complète de la thèse, également déposée dans STAR) ;

version de diffusion (version complète ou non de la thèse, également déposée dans STAR) ;

"accès restreint" : thèses accessibles uniquement sur notre intranet ;

"public" : thèses accessibles à tous ;

"confidentiel" : thèses non accessibles durant une période définie par le doctorant et/ou le jury.
Concernant ORI-OAI, seuls les fichiers des répertoires "accès restreint" et "public" sont visibles dans la notice.
Si un visiteur extérieur à l'université (ou non authentifié par CAS) tente d'accéder à une thèse en accès restreint, il est redirigé vers la page d'authentification CAS. Techniquement, cette gestion des accès aux répertoires s'effectue avec un simple serveur Apache, paramétré en conséquence.
Pour les thèses : les métadonnées administratives ont quant à elle été saisies préalablement dans Apogée et remontées à l'aide d'un script maison dans STAR. Les métadonnées documentaires et l'URL du fichier de diffusion sont directement saisies dans STAR. Le tout est ensuite moissonné en OAI-PMH par ORI-OAI.
Pour certains mémoires, les HDR, les thèses d'exercices (à venir) : les métadonnées seront extraites du SUDOC, transformées en Dublin Core puis importées dans ORI-OAI via son webservice dédié. Ce processus est actuellement fonctionnel, la mise en production est prévue pour début 2013.
Enfin, nous moissonnons également en OAI-PMH notre vieux serveur de thèses et mémoires basé sur Eprints. Il s'agit de l'ensemble des thèses et mémoires soutenus entre 2006 et décembre 2011 (plus de 1600 documents) sur la base du volontariat. Les données de ce serveur seront migrées à moyen terme dans ORI-OAI.
